And if
we're telling you how to create
our products ?
The beginning
Astrid, the founder of the brand, knew very early that she would work in the universe
textile.
When other little girls dream of castle and dormant prince, she is passionate about the bosses and fabric cutons.
Brigitte, his mom, is certainly not there for nothing! She sews a lot
and it is quite naturally that she transmits her taste for beautiful materials
and making.
From his family, Astrid also holds his entrepreneurial fiber.
At home, we're independent from father to son! After a trainer pass at Petit Bateau then Comptoir des Cotonniers,
she decided to embark on the adventure in 2017
A few years and 4 children later, the family is more than ever its engine.
The loop was closed in 2020, when Olivier, her husband, joined (finally) the company.
We say “finally” because throughout this time it was never far! #submarine
In 2021, a change of course, the company left Paris and placed its suitcases next to Nantes City #rucked west. It is now the green head that the whole team continues to imagine for you a pretty and sustainable daily life. Are you told
Step 1:
we dream, we inspire,
we're listening
OUR FIRST SOURCE OF INSPIRATION IT'S OK !
All our products, we imagine them by observing
daily at 1000 at the time of children and their parents.
How ?
Talking, thinking, testing our ideas with our customers. It is your home that our products live fully
so we haven’t finished listening !
Your feedbacks and remarks are nuggets
that keeps us moving #stronger together
We're recapitulating your desires, ours.
Let's go, we mix, we rip.
And then we draw the product.
Step 2:
ON CRIED, ON COUD,
ON TESTE, ON RETURN
Once the drawing of our dreams is finalized,
we talk about it with our manufacturers,
with whom we work hand in hand,
without any intermediaries.
A few weeks later,
we get the prototype coming from Portugal.
This prototype will become
our best friend for weeks:
we test it, we wash it, we do it, we relave it,
in short, we put the products to be tested.
Because quality at home is not
not only a promise, it is a reality.
After the crash test,
our products are sent to the laboratory to ensure that they meet the standards for children.
There you go, everything's ready. We're sure he'll like you.
Step 3:
We find his little name
It isa tradition at Petit Picotin.
For each new product,
we vote in-house to elect his little name.
You will have noticed, the name must laugh with the product:
Mariette la turbulette, Gaston le balle, Marceau le sac à do
With his new name,
we can start production, it's gone !
PRODUCTION
We begin by questioning the quantities to be produced and which colors are preferred.
Our challenge: best anticipate your orders to avoid too many stocks.
Good news, with experience, we get there better and better, and we are proud to be able to tell you that we have never had to get rid of unsold.
It is also the advantage of working without a collection, with timeless products.
Step 5:
THE SHOOTING
We're looking for a place for the shooting,
that we always seek for days and days.
Purpose: find the house that will make you dream,
who will come to enhance our products
and our little one-day models.
These little models that smile,
who are they ?
These are your children !
We post the place of shooting on Instagram
and you send us pictures to participate.
For every shoot,
there are about ten children of all ages.
It’s always a joyous moment we love !
Step 6:
THE CONTROL QUALITED
This is the production ended in our workshops in Portugal...
#All beautiful organic products
landing in our swimming workshop.
There we do a little dance of joy,
because it's not nothing..
And it’s gone for quality control
systematic and carabine !
#bloft and badly cut wire !
Step 7: hot first names, hot !
To customize your products, "hot presses".
Kesako? A hot pressure system (we paraphrase there, nan?)
made by our super machines #bff
They rise in temperature, high, very high,
then exert a strong pressure that ultimately inlaid your first names in the matter.
After that you can wash and wash your products, nothing will move, it is promised !
Behind each product, there is the technical know-how and the crowded eye of the girls in the workshop,
which prepare one to one the products so that the rendering is optimal.
Step 8:
EMBALLé is weighed
Finally, the preparation and shipping of orders
are made by the Picoteam,
and we can tell you that it is done with a lot of love
#brigade of love
